WHEN MEGA GIANTS FALL!

5 Practical principles David used to Thrive

Then a champion came out from the camp of the Philistines named Goliath of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. The Philistine [Goliath] came out morning and evening and took his stand for forty days. Then Jesse said to David his son, “Take for your brothers an ephah of this roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread and run quickly to the camp to your brothers. Also take these ten cuts of cheese to the commander of the [i]unit. See how your brothers are doing and bring back news of them. Now they are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the Valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.” 1 Samuel 17:13-19 (AMP)
"Now Eliab his oldest brother heard what he said to the men; and Eliab’s [k]anger burned against David, and he said, “Why have you come down here? With whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your presumption (overconfidence) and the evil of your heart; for you have come down in order to see the battle.” But David said, “What have I done now? Was it not just a [harmless] question?” Then David turned away from Eliab to someone else and asked the same question; and the people gave him the same answer as the first time." 1 Samuel 17:28-30 (AMP)
"But David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and attacked it and rescued the lamb from its mouth; and when it rose up against me, I seized it by its whiskers and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted and defied the armies of the living God.” David said, “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.” Then Saul dressed David in his garments and put a bronze helmet on his head and put a coat of mail (Armor) on him. " 1 Samuel 17:34-38 (AMP)
"Then he took his [shepherd’s] staff in his hand and chose for himself five [m]smooth stones out of the stream bed and put them in his shepherd’s bag which he had, that is, in his shepherd’s pouch. With his sling in his hand, he approached the Philistine. The Philistine came and approached David, with his shield-bearer in front of him." 1 Samuel 17:40-41 (AMP)
"Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a [n]javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the corpses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel," 1 Samuel 17:45-46 (AMP)
"So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and he struck down the Philistine and killed him; but there was no sword in David’s hand." 1 Samuel 17:50 (AMP)

GIANTS DO FALL
THE BIGGER THEY ARE THE HARDER THEY FALL
EVERYONE HAS A TIME TO FACE A GIANT IN THEIR LIVES

Let me introduce you to a giant killer: David
David had the anointment, but he had to wait for his appointment. David was Anointed king when he was 15 but he only ruled as king at 30. Saul had the appointment, but he did not have the Anointment. You need the Anointment for the Appointment. David’s father gave him a small assignment “take bread for your brothers”.

IF YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH THE SMALL…

"Then Jesse said to David his son, “Take for your brothers an ephah of this roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread and run quickly to the camp to your brothers. Also take these ten cuts of cheese to the commander of the unit. See how your brothers are doing and bring back news of them." 1 Samuel 17:17-18

When David came to the battlefield the children of Israel were full of fear, but David brought faith! Before David showed up no one mentioned God. Everyone talked about The Giant. It’s not about the size of the Giant it is about the size of your God! David’s brother said you too young to take the Giant on

Now Eliab his oldest brother heard what he said to the men; and Eliab’s anger burned against David, and he said, “Why have you come down here? With whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your presumption (overconfidence) and the evil of your heart; for you have come down in order to see the battle.” Samuel 17:28

But David testified about the lion and the bear

But David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after it and attacked it and rescued the lamb from its mouth; and when it rose up against me, I seized it by its whiskers and struck and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted and defied the armies of the living God.” Samuel 17:34-36

So, Saul put his armor on David and David takes it off. David picks up 5 stones from the river. Goliath had 4 Brothers

5 STONES MEANS COMPLETE VICTORY

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A YOUTH TO KILL A GIANT?

5 Practical principles David used to Thrive

(1) Don’t listen to Negative people
David’s brothers were Negative and intimidated with David
Saul said to him you not able

(2) Recall past victories
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

(3) Overcome fear through faith

When David came to the battlefield the children of Israel were full of fear, But David brought faith

(4) Speak The Name

“I COME IN THE NAME OF THE LORD”

YOUR PROBLEM MUST BOW TO JESUS’ NAME

"…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth" Philippians 2:10

Whatever is troubling you, if it has a name, it must bow to the name of Jesus!
Cancer must bow to the name of Jesus. Poverty must bow. Shame must bow.

◄ Philippians 2:9 ►
The Bible tells us that God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him the name, which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee must bow

YOU ARE NUMBERED AMONG THE UNDEVOURABLE
YOU ARE ALREADY BLESSED

(5) Declare the Word

BE A FAITHFUL TITHER IN THE KINGDOM

Wherever you find a tither, you’re going to find victory. Wherever you find a non-tither, you’re going to find failure. The covenant promises of God can always be produced for someone who will continue to stay hooked up to the covenant through his tithes. An offering is not received by God until it is given over and above the ten percent! You cannot give a legal offering until you first of all give a legal tithe.

"Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation." Malachi 3:9

If you were to get hold of a Hebrew Bible, you would see that this last scripture says, “I give you final notice of the cancellation of our contract.”

"Therefore, the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you anymore, except ye destroy the accursed from among you." Joshua 7:12
"Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, said the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." Malachi 3:10
"Moreover it is required in stewards, which a man be found faithful." 1 Corinthians 4:2
